SAFETY FIRST!
17/06/2024 10:21 AM

Over the past couple of weeks we have been focusing on various aspects of safety in school. We were visited by our local Fire Fighting Team who delivered an informative and action packed assembly to our KS2 pupils. We were also audited by the Health and Safety Team at Calderdale and have been learning about online safety. We are expecting online safety to be a hot topic in schools in the coming years so now may be a good time to acquaint yourselves with this too - asking questions can help us inform how we approach this matter both at home and in school:

How can we help children manage their own safety online?

Do we know what our children are accessing online?

What help is available to us from other sources?

How do we talk to our youngest children about this to prepare them for the future?

As we continue to explore this topic in school we hope to share useful links and information with you, this is going to be a great opportunity to learn together!
